Insurance (Driver Responsibility) Not Included
Drivers must secure state-compliant, rideshare-endorsed policy listing SF EV, LLC as Additional Insured and Loss Payee with a minimum $50K per person / $100K per accident for bodily injury, $25K property damage, and $1,000 max collision deductible. Uber does not cover deductibles. Proof is required before vehicle pickup and must stay active.

The EV Drive-to-Own program gives rideshare drivers a flexible path to vehicle ownership through convenient weekly payments. Drivers can own their Polestar 2 at the end of 48 months or 200,000 miles, whichever comes first, with the ability to manage costs based on their driving needs.

Payments are weekly and automatically charged based on mileage. Extra miles from a busy week accrue and can help cover weeks when you drive less—whether due to vacation, illness, or personal obligations—so you don’t always have to meet the 962-mile minimum as long as you stay on track over time.
Example:
- Drive 1,200 miles in one week → 238 extra miles at $0.28 per mile = $66.64 extra, bringing your total for that week to $336.64.
- Drive 700 miles in another week → You won’t be charged the full $270 since accrued miles help balance it out.
Yes, you can still qualify provided you have no recent bankruptcies. Our plans accommodate various credit histories, helping you own your car and rebuild your credit over time. This program is exclusively for Uber’s top-tier drivers—those with Diamond, Platinum, or Gold status.
A partial security deposit is required to place an order, with the remaining balance collected over your next payment cycle(s). The full deposit must be completed as agreed.
The weekly payment covers the lease price of the vehicle, including a fixed mileage allowance, as well as an extended battery warranty, vehicle inspection and registration, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
The great news is that every additional mile driven brings you closer to the 200,000-mile mark, which is when you can take ownership of the vehicle, even if it’s before the end of your term.
