Security Deposit $1000
$1,000 refundable deposit (less any outstanding amounts), which can be used to buy the car for $1,000 at the end of the term or 200,000 miles, whichever comes first, so no extra payment may be needed

Insurance Not Included
Drivers must secure rideshare-endorsed insurance naming SF EV, LLC as Additional Insured and Loss Payee, with $50K/$100K BI, $25K PD, $2.5K max deductible. Uber doesn’t cover deductibles. Proof required before pickup and must stay active.

Maintenance Not Included
Drivers cover preventative maintenance and repair costs, such as tires, brakes, windshield wipers, washer fluid, cabin air filters, and any other wear-and-tear items.
FAQs
The EV Drive-to-Own program gives rideshare drivers a flexible path to vehicle ownership through convenient weekly payments. Drivers can own their Polestar 2 at the end of 48 months or 200,000 miles, whichever comes first, with the ability to manage costs based on their driving needs.
At the end of the term, you can own the vehicle by paying a $1,000 transfer fee, which is covered by your initial security deposit.
Your plan includes a $270 weekly flat fee, covering 962 miles per week. If you exceed 962 miles, you pay $0.28 per extra mile.
Payments are weekly and automatically charged based on mileage. Extra miles from a busy week accrue and can help cover weeks when you drive less—whether due to vacation, illness, or personal obligations—so you don’t always have to meet the 962-mile minimum as long as you stay on track over time.
Example:
- Drive 1,200 miles in one week → 238 extra miles at $0.28 per mile = $66.64 extra, bringing your total for that week to $336.64.
- Drive 700 miles in another week → You won’t be charged the full $270 since accrued miles help balance it out.
Yes, you can qualify if you have no recent bankruptcies. We support various credit histories to help you own your car and rebuild credit. The program is for Uber Diamond, Platinum, or Gold drivers who average 120 trips/month. Repeatedly missing this may lead to losing the car.
A partial security deposit is required to place an order, with the remaining balance collected over your next payment cycle(s). The full deposit must be completed as agreed.
The weekly payment covers the lease price of the vehicle, including a fixed mileage allowance, as well as an extended battery warranty, vehicle inspection and registration, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
The great news is that every additional mile driven brings you closer to the 200,000-mile mark, which is when you can take ownership of the vehicle, even if it’s before the end of your term. This means the more you drive, the faster you can own your vehicle, turning those extra bonus miles into a smart investment toward vehicle ownership.Â
